Snacking doesn’t have to be eliminated from a well-balanced diet.  Try to keep your snacks to 100 calories or less

Make sure you don’t overdo the fruit and sugary options, 1 per day, they can ruin your blood glucose levels

RECIPE: Spinach & Cheese Triangles

Super Easy Appetizer, Great Finger Food for any Birthday or Football Party

  • 1 Package frozen spinach
  • 8 oz Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 Bacon Rashers
  • 1 Egg
  • Filo Pastry Sheets
  • 1 egg extra


  1. Preheat oven 375 F
  2. Cook bacon in non stick skillet
  3. Drain & chop into pieces
  4. In a microwave mixing bowl, add spinach, cheese and lightly beaten egg
  5. Mix through with fork until combined
  6. Microwave on high 1 min till cheese has melted
  7. Add cooked bacon and combine
  8. Lay filo pastry sheet flat
  9. Spoon spinach mixture into sheet and fold into a triangle
    folding over and over until sheet finished
  10. Lightly beat 2nd egg in a small glass bowl
  11. Lay Spinach triangles flat on cookie sheet tray
  12. Brush with lightly beaten egg
  13. Cook 10-15 mins at 375 F on middle oven rack until brown
